OTAMATEA HIGH SCHOOL UNIFORM
School uniform must be worn by all Year 7 to Year 12 students. School uniform can be purchased from Skeltons Drapery in Paparoa. Second Hand uniform can also be purchased from the PTCA. It is a trans-seasonal uniform worn all year - there is not a separate "winter" or "summer" uniform. Year 13 students continue to wear mufti but it must be of an acceptable standard.

Polo shirt:

Grey marle polo shirt

Choose between white or grey marle polo shirt

Sweatshirt:

Royal blue heavyweight sweatshirt with straight sides

Choose between shorts and trousers.

Royal blue heavyweight sweatshirt with straight sides.

Choose between shorts, trousers and skirt.
 

Shorts:

Grey westpoint drill, hard wearing, action waist, twin pleats, fly, 2 pockets long leg

Grey polyviscose shorts with elastic at waist and two pockets.

Trousers:

Grey polyester viscose blend, hard wearing, belt loop, twin pleats, 2 pockets, adjustable waistband (must be hemmed).

Grey polyviscose trouser with elastic at waist and two pockets (must be hemmed).

Skirt:

-

Grey polyviscose A Line skirt - kick pleat at the back with zip pocket.

Socks:

Mid-grey 3/4 length, with royal blue stripe. Socks cannot be worn with sandals.

White ankle socks only. Socks cannot be worn with sandals.

P.E.Gear:

White tee-shirt, heavyweight lacoste fabric, with monogram. Green nylon or cotton shorts available from local retailers.

Green knit shorts, $16.50 purchased through PTCA. A respectable one-piece swimsuit.

Black polishable leather lace-up shoes with black laces, black soles and flat heels, or black leather roman sandals.

Dress Uniform is ordered through the school. School Uniform is only available through Jaques – Kaiwaka or Skeltons – Paparoa

Extras:

Navy caps $5, grey monogrammed beanies $15 and multi striped scarves $30. They must not be worn inside. Striped school tie $30 – boys only. All these items are available through the school only and are for girls and boys.

Tracksuit:

For school SPORTS TEAMS ONLY - regulation royal blue jacket (with green and
silver stripes) and royal pants with Otamatea printed on pants leg. Purchase at
school.

Footwear:

For both boys and girls - black polishable leather lace-up shoes with black
laces, black soles and flat heels, or black leather roman sandals available
from local retailers.

Note:

All uniform items are to be kept in good repair and be kept clean.
 

DRESS CODE

 

Jewellery

Jewellery is not to be worn, except for watches and ear-rings. These are: plain gold or silver studs only, no more than one stud per ear. No other body piercing permitted. One flat signet ring.

Hair

Extreme hair styles and colourings are not permitted.
For safety reasons, long hair must be tied back off the face.
Head bands must be either white, green or blue.
Boys must be clean shaven.
No ‘low-riding’.
 

Other points to note:

Nail polish and make-up is not to be worn.
No graffiti on clothing, shoes bags or books.
Belts may be worn, and are to be black with a plain buckle.
A plain white tee-shirt may be worn under the polo shirt but must be tucked in.
 

 

 

Socks cannot be worn with sandals.

All uniform items are to be kept in good repair and be kept clean.
