An opportunity exists for all Year 12 and 13 students to attend a work experience placement of their career interests. This could be:

• for a one day visit
• for one day a week for 1 term
• for one day a week for the whole year
• in the school holidays

Students opting for the full year Gateways Programme may drop one full year course. They must, however, take:

• a Mathematics course to suit individual needs
• an English course to suit individual needs

This programme has been extremely successful in placing students in full-time permanent employment.

The Year 11/12 Workskills students will have their own work experience programme arranged for them, but they need to make sure that they are in a position to keep up with their other subjects. Students in the Vocational or Academic Pathway who wish to make use of this work experience opportunity must first apply to Mrs Clyde.
