2021 Science Fair

The Otamatea High School 2021 Science Fair has now come to a close. There has been a tremendous amount of work completed by year 7 and 8 students.
The Science Fair Projects we complete are self directed learning, allowing students to explore and further examine a topic of their choice. Support is given to ensure this takes the form of a scientific investigation.
Students work alone or in pairs and have the opportunity to develop their thinking skills, time management, team and relationship abilities.
This year there were 82 exhibits, and this produced a great visual display and some excellent science.
The boards were on display to the community at the Maungaturoto Country club on 5th and 6th of August.
The judging was quite tight with a lot of great contenders for the top slots.
