Learning Assistant – Learning Support Department
Otamatea High School is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and empathetic individual to join our Learning Support team.
In this role, you will work primarily with students who present with challenging behaviours and diverse learning needs. You will play a key role in supporting these students to engage in their education and manage their interactions within the school environment.

Is capable of building strong, positive relationships with students who may find school difficult.
29 hours per week -
6 hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
5 hours Wednesday.

Key Requirements:
Current Teaching Council New Zealand Registration and Practising Certificate.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to different subject areas and year levels (Years 7–13).
