Athletic Sports 2023

This year athletics was held on Thursday 23rd February. The day was hot and sunny with a good breeze coming and going throughout the day.
The students showed great athleticism in both the track and field events.

Congratulations go to Jesse Goodfellow for breaking the senior boys 200 m race with a new time of 22.55. Jesse’s time was a nearly 2 second improvement on the combined record of Alan Morris (1985)/Nick McLean (1988) 24.6sec.
Thank you to all the fantastic parents/whānau who made this championship event possible by stepping up and time keeping the running events and helping some of the field events. Thank you also to all the staff and students who helped throughout the day in the many jobs to keep the day running smoothly.
Lastly, thank you to all the athletes who gave all competitions their all to make a very enjoyable day.
