International Student Activity Week 4-8 November 2019

By Heather McDonnell, International Director

This year’s international student activity week saw our international students trying their hand at surfing at Te Arai and sand surfing on 90 Mile Beach. They visited Kawiti Glow Worm Caves, Russell, Kawakawa’s Hundertwasser toilets, Waitangi Treaty Grounds including a cultural performance, Mangonui for the world famous fish and chips, Cape Reinga, Ngawha Hot Springs, Opononi, Waipoua Forest to see the mighty Tane Mahuta and finally, Matakana for a movie experience, followed by a Hangi dinner at the Buxton’s place. As the weather was so incredibly hot, they also ate copious quantities of incredible New Zealand ice cream.

This was an amazing experience for all of our girls and a perfect way to farewell them before they had to return to their school in Japan.
