Junior Syndicate Poetry Cafe and Consumers and Producers

Y7 Poetry Cafe

On Monday 5th July, the Year 7 cohort all joined together to share their poetry at the annual Poetry Cafe held in A block at Otamatea High School. Each homeroom class displayed their terms work and a selection of students recited in front of invited guests ( parents, caregivers and whanau of Year 7 students). Parents were able to enjoy a selection of scones and tea and coffee and join in on the celebration of a busy term learning about poetry.

Y78 Consumers and Producers

During term 2, Year 8 students have been learning about Producers and Consumers, their roles and responsibilities, CGA and product development. Their terms project was to develop their own product, including the packaging, ingredient and nutritional information. To showcase their own products, we held a Producers and Consumers event on Tuesday 6th July in the school hall, and what a wonderful event it was! Students rose to the challenge and after setting up their stalls, parents and whanau were welcomed to join in and able to taste their delights. Thanks to everyone involved who helped make this a successful event for our tamariki.
