Poor Knights Level 2 and 3 Snorkel Trip (March 2021)

By Alexandra Kelly

Our Level 2 and 3 Physical Education and Sport Leadership students proudly represented the school with their exemplary behaviour on our Poor Knights Snorkeling trip on Monday. The students had a great time showcasing their knowledge of safety management through this challenging and once in a lifetime experience.

The trip started with a heavy swell on the way out, but we were treated with calm and beauty when we reached the Poor Knights Islands. Our students performed the school haka with pride in Riko Riko, the world’s largest sea cave and Teina sang the school waiata. In the water we were treated to a show by a local turtle which had just been released from Kelly Tarlton’s.

Here is an insight into the day (Thanks Teresa Brown for the fantastic photos).
