Round the Loop Running Race 2021

On Thursday 21st October, Otamatea High School students hit the track to push themselves as hard as possible for the annual running race. This year the race was held on the Country Club walking track. Year 11 student Morgan Bull won this year’s race, finishing in a time of 13.55. Second place went to Jack Hodgson with a time of 14.37 ahead of third place, Joseph Knight with a time of 14.45.
Year 7 student Olive Woodman (12th overall) took out the girl’s race in a time of 16.56. Second place was year 7 student Jaime McCarthny with a time of 17.44 ahead of third place, Jaime Warrington-Grace with a time of 17.58.
193 students finished. The day was challenging with it being very windy and by the end of the afternoon light rain started to fall.

The top team winner was Collegiate Hockey with 7 members of the team pacing in the top 39 runners.
