Friday 3rd March saw the 58th Otamatea High School Swim Sports take place. The day was a perfect sunny day with no wind.

25m freestyle new time of 13.79 beating N Martin’s record of 13.84 set in 2021

25m backstroke new time of 16.70 beating N Martin’s record of 17.00 set in 2021

25m breaststroke new time of 18.21 beating N Martin’s record of 19.74 set in 2021

50m breaststroke new time of 48.41 beating J Whittaker’s record of 48.59 set in 2007

Noah Martin added to his 2021 tally and broke 2 records 

25m freestyle new time of 12.80 beating A Exler’s record of 12.84 set in 2003

25m backstroke new time of 15.35 beating is own record of 15.83 set in 2022

25m breaststroke new time of 17.21 beating his own record of 17.75 set in 2022

A huge thank you to all the parents who helped time keep on the day. Thank you to Ellen Quirk for being our stroke inspector/turn judge for the day and Nikola Kemp for being our head timekeeper for the day. Thank you to all the staff and students who helped throughout the day in the many jobs to keep the day running smoothly. Lastly thank you to all the swimmers who stepped up and swam their hearts out to make this an enjoyable competition.
