Gateway Co-ordinator

Gateway Co-ordinator – fixed term: Otamatea High School is seeking a part time (31 hours per week) Gateway Co-ordinator.  The successful applicant will form positive working relationships with all key stakeholders, including students, staff, parents, and local businesses.  You will assist students in securing work placements, accessing courses, and completing work-based assessments to ensure that Otamatea High School students are able to experience a range of potential career opportunities.  You will work closely with our Assistant Principal (Student Achievement) and our Careers Advisor.  Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills are crucial for this role.  This is a fixed term (maternity cover) position from 1 February to 31 August 2022. Actual hours/days of work are by negotiation. Applicants will need to be fully vaccinated prior to starting.

HOD Technology (3MU + 1MMA)

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated technology teacher to lead our successful technology department. You will have proven leadership, strong interpersonal skills and be passionate about the success of our students. The successful candidate will also oversee our construction trades academy and will be able to articulate and deliver a clear vision for technology learning in the future. You will embrace our focus on relational pedagogy and restorative practices, and be able to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.

Otamatea High School is a vibrant, supportive school experiencing very strong roll growth and you will work collaboratively within a high functioning team. An additional recruitment, retention and responsibility (RRR) allowance may be available for the right candidate.
