Otamatea High School is seeking a friendly, organised, and efficient Office Administrator to join our support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a role that fits around family life or other commitments. As the first point of contact for students, whānau, and visitors, you will play a key role in the smooth running of our school office.

Key Responsibilities

Reception: Greeting visitors, answering the phone, and managing student reception queries with a welcoming and professional manner.
Student Support: Assisting with student general enquiries.
General Administration: Data entry, filing, and supporting the wider administration team with ad-hoc tasks.
Communication: Liaising with staff, parents, to ensure clear and timely communication.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, resilient, and proactive. The ideal candidate will have:

Previous administration or reception experience (school experience is a bonus but not essential).
Strong computer literacy, 
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy school environment.
High standards of confidentiality and integrity.

Key Requirements

Experience: You must have strong workshop skills and experience in woodwork.
Qualifications: A formal teaching qualification is not required for this role.
Experience delivering Level one, two and three BCITO Bconstructive programs is an advantage

Part time Fixed Term (6 months) School Attendance Support Worker

Otamatea High School is a thriving rural school, with a strong reputation in our community.
We are seeking an In School Attendance Support Worker to help improve student attendance. 

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and building positive relationships with whanau.
Up to 15 hours per week term time only, fixed term for 6 months. Some home visits will be required.  We are looking for someone that can:
