HOD Year 7 & 8 Syndicate

Full Time Permanent

Otamatea High School is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, organised and culturally responsive classroom practitioner to lead our Year 7 and 8 junior syndicate. 

As Head of Department (HOD) you will be the leader of curriculum, learning and pedagogy in Year 7-8 English, mathematics, social studies, and science, and will oversee a team of Year 7 and 8 teachers. Primary/intermediate teachers are encouraged to apply. 

This is a full-time permanent position starting 17 August 2026 (or by negotiation).

A schoolhouse may be available for the successful candidate.

practices.

Part-Time Cleaner

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our property team.

Hours: 15 hours per week (3 hours per night)
Schedule: Term Time Only (Enjoy your school holidays!)
Requirements: Physically fit and capable of a high standard of work. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible to cover team members when needed.
